There are two types of money, coins and bills. Coins include quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.
This is both sides of a quarter:
Here are some facts about the quarter.
- It is made of copper and nickel.
- The quarter is worth twenty five cents (25¢).
- It is the largest coin.
- President George Washington is on the HEADS of the coin (front side).
- A bald eagle is on the TAILS side of the coin (back side).
When we count quarters we follow this number pattern: 25, 50, 75, ONE DOLLAR! (Because 100 cents is 1 dollar of course)
This is seventy five cents (75¢), 3 quarters.
25¢ 50¢ 75¢
This is one dollar and twenty five cents which is $1.25!!
And how many quarters? That’s right, 5 quarters!
Amazing job counting QUARTERS scholars 🙂
