There are two types of money, coins and bills. Coins include quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.
This is both sides of a nickel:
Here are some facts about the nickel.
- It is made of copper and nickel.
- The nickel is worth five cent (5¢).
- Thomas Jefferson is on the HEADS of the coin (front side).
- Monticello, which is Jefferson’s home, is on the TAILS side of the coin (back side).
When we count nickels we count by fives! This is 15 cents (15¢) AND 3 nickels.
5¢ 10¢ 15¢
This is 40 cents (40¢)!!
And how many nickels?
