There are two types of money, coins and bills. Coins include quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.
This is both sides of a dime:
Here are some facts about the dime.
- It is made of copper and nickel.
- The dime is worth ten cents (10¢).
- It is the smallest coin.
- President Franklin Roosevelt is on the HEADS of the coin (front side).
- A torch, oak branch and olive branch are on the TAILS side of the coin (back side).
When we count dimes we count by tens! This is thirty cents (30¢) AND 3 dimes.
10¢ 20¢ 30¢
This is sixty cents (60¢)!!
And how many dimes?
